Stacking the Shelves – Oct 15

Happy Saturday, reading friends! 💜 Stacking The Shelves is a weekly prompt hosted by Marlene of Reading Reality where we share the books we’re adding to our shelves, whether they’re physical or virtual. I heavily utilize my local library, so the books I showcase here may be either newly borrowed or newly owned. 😊

This has been a slow week for shelf stacking on my end. I’m in the middle of a book that I’ll be finishing today and then I’ll probably start filling up again from the library. I’ve got only 2 new books this week and both are library ebooks! Have I mentioned how much I love the library? 💜

  1. A Court of Thorns and Roses. This book is 100% a “social media made me do it” read for me. I’ve heard both good and bad things about the series, but I have heard about it – a lot. I’m very much a trend reader. If I see a lot of people reading a book, I want to read it too so I can see what I’m missing out on, whether good or bad. I’m hoping I’ll enjoy this one though so that I’ll have a new fantasy series to dive into!
  2. The Haunting of Hill House. Another one of my spooktober TBR books. This one I’ve really heard mixed reviews on. Some readers say it’s so creepy and amazing, other readers say it’s a total snoozefest. I got this one on audiobook because I figured I could listen to it while doing other things, but I started it yesterday and I’m not totally in love with the narrator or quality of the recording so I may ditch that for an ebook or physical copy.

Have you read any of the books that are new to my shelves? If so, what did you think and if not are you interested in reading any of them?

Have a great weekend! I’ll see you in your blogs. ❤

  1. I absolutely loved both of those – I picked up the Thorns & Roses because of social media too, wanted to see what the fuss is all about and ended up loving it. I read Shirley Jackson’s stuff in my teens
