Goodreads Monday – Oct 17 + Question of the Day

Happy Monday, readers! Taken over from Lauren’s Page Turners, Budget Tales Book Blog is now hosting Goodreads Monday.  It’s a chance to share what’s on your Goodreads “TBR” list and progress on your current reads.

Firstly, if you have a Goodreads account, let’s be friends! I’m also bookbabenails there. 😊

I’ve finished Mexican Gothic and Lapvona and I’ll be doing reviews for both of those in my blog this week. That freed me up to start a couple more books that were on my TBR.

I watched Annihilation before knowing that it was a book and I loved it! I typically find it difficult to read a book after I’ve watched the movie adaptation, but this one is short so I’m hoping I enjoy it.

This is my first NetGalley read! This book was on Read Now so I didn’t need to make a request and it sounded cute enough. I figured any requests I’d make would be denied without having any other reviews under my belt, plus I need something lighthearted after reading Lapvona. Hope it’s good!

I’ve finally gotten around to actually started ACOTAR. I read the first chapter a week or so ago and then set it aside in favor of my current reads. I got up to Chapter 5 last night where I think the book is going to really start moving and I’m enjoying it well enough so far!

⁉️ Have you read any of my new current reads? If you use NetGalley, how did you go about making your first request?

  1. Congratulations on your first Netgalley! I have just reviewed my first one. I didn’t realise that there were books that you could just read. That will probably help my cause! I do a lot of Blog Tours so just hoped that that would show that I am a reliable reviewer!

I loved ACOTAR. I hope you get to love it too!

    Have a great week!
